Listed below are some of our most recent concert programmes suitable for evening, daytime and festival performances. The number of performers varies according to the recital chosen and many shows include narration and dance.

Maken Melody
Medieval music from the age of Chaucer interspersed with literary quotations A musical pilgrimage through England, France and Italy, featuring voices, flutes, lutes, symphonie, bagpipe, shawm, harp, and percussion. This programme has been extensively revised and features the narrative skills of Richard Fentiman and the string playing of Dante Ferrara.
The Story of Robin Hode
A colourful programme centred around the story of Robin Hood, including early songs, traditional music, martial ballads, and music for the greenwood and May games Singers are accompanied by a variety of period instruments

Minstrels and the Piper
To celebrate the art of minstrelsy a varied programme of popular music from Tudor and Stuart times, featuring songs, dances and instrumentals Voices, lute, recorder, flute, violin, cittern, sordun, spinet, orpharion, bagpipe, hurdy-gurdy and percussion.

 

This Yule
Early and traditional music for Christmas and the New Year, sung and played upon a variety of instruments

Knaves and Fawkes
Music and songs for high-life and low-life Jacobean England.
It is 1605 and Dante Ferrara, and Italian court musician decides to stay in London. He is encouraged by his good friend and fellow musician to enter the King’s Music to earn a living. You are invited to listen to an amicable exchange of songs and tunes as the two musicians prepare for national touring with a healthy repertoire for revels, masques and sundry events - and some curious English goings on!
Pass the Hat Round
A veritable potpourri of traditional airs, dances and songs with a sprinkling of early music for good measure A fun programme recorded for Unicorn-Kanchana and presented at Kendal and Sidmouth folk festivals
Green Groweth The Holly
Consists of Medieval and Tudor song, music and dance for Christmas. Presented in costume this lively recital includes opportunities for audience participation. Some dates still available during the festive season.

  Duos Drones and Divisions
An informal lecture recital designed as an introduction to Tudor music. Instruments can include flutes, lute, recorders, shawms, vielle, crumhorns, harp, sordun, rote, hurdy gurdy, clavichord and percussion, etc.
